The International Forum on Infectious Diseases is a continuation of commitment to science, academics & clinical excellence. The forum met in Beirut, Lebanon on April 27, 2017.This year a total of 140 specialists attended the IFID 2017 and the participating countries were Pakistan, Sudan, Nigeria, Kenya and Afghanistan.
This year the conference specially invited a lecture on a non-infectious disease spectrum considering its increasing importance throughout the world and potential for future research in the populations of Africa and Asia. This lecture “Interstitial Lung Diseases: Perspectives in Documentation and Guidelines” was delivered by Dr. Mosavir Ansarie, Chairperson ILD Advisory and Guideline Committee PCS and Custodian ILD PAK PCS National Registry. Dr. Ansarie at the end of his lecture proposed the establishment of national registries and their extension into an Afro-Asiatic Registry on the subject and offered co-operation on the part of ILD PAK Registry in this regard.
