The Second PCS ILD Guideline Committee meeting was held on 19th – 20th November at Hotel Ramada, Islamabad. The agenda of the meeting included deliberations on the formulation of PCS ILD Guideline part 2 which comprises sections on Non-Specific Interstitial Pneumonitis (NSIP) and Connective Tissue Related Interstitial Lung Diseases (CTD – ILD). Presentations were made in this regard by Dr. Ali Zuberi, Dr. Talha Mehmood and Dr. Mosavir Ansarie. Discussion was held and notes taken by the Co-ordination Committee members Dr. Sadia Ashraf and Dr. Asif Naseem. These will be circulated among Guideline Committee members before final preparation of the document. The Guideline Committee members attending the meeting were Dr. Arshad Javed, Dr. Mosavir Ansarie, Dr. Jawad Ansari, Dr. Ali Bin Sarwar Zuberi, Dr. Mukhtiar Zaman Afridi, Dr. Saqib Saeed, Dr. Talha Mehmood and Dr. Shiren Khan.
The last part of the agenda comprised of the presentation by the Chairman ILD Guideline Committee Dr. Mosavir Ansarie in which he discussed about the Guideline, Web development and the Registry. He spoke about the distance covered and the targets ahead for the year 2017. Detailed discussions were held and important decisions taken.
